Feeding Frenzy 2 Wiki

Overview[]

The Intruder is an extra-terrestrial fish and the main antagonist of Feeding Frenzy 2. It is responsible for the damage dealt to underwater laboratories and causing imbalance in the ocean. In-game, each playable character will have a chance to "weaken" the Intruder, with the exception of Edie. Goliath is the first to fight him. Upon defeat, The Intruder becomes a unique playable character.

Appearance[]

The Intruder is greenish in color. It has a round head and a lower body that is shaped like a Dolphin's, and completely dark green eyes with no visible pupil, similar to a Grey Alien. It has an anglerfish-like esca protruding from its head. Its jaw is especially sturdy and seems to be made from an extremely resilient material, as it helps The Intruder withstand damage from mines without any issues. However, upon getting its esca bitten by the player, hitting a mine will stun it and spawn 5 Mushroom Bubbles, which will deal damage to it (instead of shrinking it) until it eventually gets shrunk by the effect of the bubbles.

Gameplay[]

Similar to the Barracuda, The Intruder will have a yellow warning sign to warn the player of its appearance. It is not hostile towards the player, and will consume anything in its swimming path (with the exception of poison herrings). Upon getting its esca bitten, it quickly turns hostile and moves quickly towards the player. However, it is also vulnerable in this hostile state, and will be stunned upon getting into contact with a Mine.

When stunned, 5 Mushroom Bubbles will be spawned, which the player can use to deal damage to The Intruder. If no bubbles are left to be consumed, it will retreat, and the process will be repeated.

From its second appearance, it gains the ability to inhale, similar to the player's inhale ability. Its inhale zone can still be escaped by dashing.

Trivia[]

  • It is implied that The Intruder has scotophobia. This may explain why it does not have a fight with Edie, due to her gimmick being a dark zone that needs to be illuminated.
